Bishops from the same country are organized into an organization known as a bishops’ conference or episcopal conference. Bishops’ conferences have special rights and responsibilities according to church law. Many produce excellent resources and can shed light on how Catholic faith is practiced in the many cultures around the world. Some continents also have groupings of bishops conferences.
